Catalina Classic 21

Thanks to Bark Paddleboards, I was able to get back on the water for the first official , post covid, Catalina Classic. It was a rough one for the paddlers.. lots of wind and swell making for a really tough crossing. But those who made it, really earned it - and you could see it on their faces as they came to the beach. Thanks to Kevin, my “go to” 2nd shooter for handling the finish line and drone shots at the finish. I am really proud of this video. We got to use the music of one of my favorite bands on the planet, Hammock. Their music fit nicely with this moody little edit. Shot mostly on the Panasonic CX350, that camera has once more proven itself to be a magical workhorse able to handle any shooting conditions. One thing to note, the wide shots from that camera are just amazing. Shot it as well in VFR - so some of the slow mo is really smooth 4k 24p over cranked to 60p..enough tech jargon! enjoy the video
